mark wisz
designer
Mark received his education from Buffalo State College graduating with a Bachelors of Science and his experience in the design trenches of Buffalo, NY. Those years in the trenches included publishing the independent local street 'zines Sign O' The Times and Slack Magazine. A highlight of his publishing career include a request to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show during a program profiling the 'slacker' generation and his rejection by her producers when they realized he actually held a job!
In 2000, Mark decided to parlay his successful freelance career into his own firm. Drawing upon his 16 years of experience in pre-press, graphic design, independent publishing, web design as well as in house art director positions, Mark opened OtherWisz as a full service graphics and web design company. His loves include his beautiful daughters- Frances & Abigail, vinyl records, hockey and all things graphic!

jill wisz
designer
Known for her keen attention to detail, Jill has been involved in various aspects of design for over 15 years. With a design degree from Buffalo State College and her Masters of Architecture from the University of Buffalo, Jill recently was an Intern Architect with Robert Traynham Coles, Architect P.C. as well as a designer for Johnson/Hehr (Hadley Exhibits) Inc. Jill has created exhibits for zoos, trade shows, museums and visitor centers and her designs include a freestanding panel system for the gallery in the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport and development of a modular security gate system for ADT. Jill’s dedication and fine work at OtherWisz has made this a successful husband and wife team.

jessica mccarthy

A recent graduate of Villa Maria College, Jessica is a self proclaimed shop-a-holic and Starbucks addict who brings a fresh perspective to our design team. Jessica's experience at school and at ARTVOICE has given her focus and a knack for great design. When Jessica's not designing-- or shopping, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Bosco and watching the Sabres and their quest for the cup!

steve gallo
programmer/software developer
Steve is the genius behind the backend development of a number of OtherWisz projects. A programming superhero by day, Steve is a Database Administrator and Software Engineer for the Center for Computational Research at UB. By night you can find him writing code, creating custom built applications, or honing his culinary skills by crafting some tasty new dishes in the kitchen. Steve was voted the 2003 "Digital Don" at the InfoTech Niagara BETA Awards this spring.

With a classic touch to the graphic arts, Jen Yax is an award winning designer. Her experience runs the gamut from pre-press and studio photography to graphic design and fine arts. Whether it be a print collateral, direct mailing, logo design or website development, Jennifer Yax is a talent we are proud to have on our roster.

jeremy slater
designer/ multi-media artist
Another Buffalo State College graduate, Jeremy also attended the School of Visual Arts. A talented musician as well as graphic artist, Jeremy has designed for MTVi, Sonic Net, CD Now, Amazon and Scholastic Inc. His experience ranges from creating interactive animations, banners, greeting cards and websites to building the color separations for Marvel Comics.

chris white
designer/ Flash animation guru
Chris White is at one with his computer as he storyboards and crafts detailed animation and video clips in his sleep. A talented graphic designer, Chris earned his design degree at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Chris is an early pioneer in website development having been involved in interactive and website design for almost 10 years. He is another talented musician on the OtherWisz roster and is currently working on the new "OtherWisz Theme Song" (which sounds eerily familiar to the Hockey Night in Canada theme).
