Kenmore Development Website:
Organic Design- Website development for feedback and reinforcement
www.KenDev.com
The OtherWisz/Kenmore Development relationship began over seven years ago when we were contacted to develop their corporate identity, including a new logo and letterhead. To complete the package, we also began the development of the first Ken Dev website. Ken Dev recognized that the Internet would be an effective means for marketing their properties, and their first website immediately began paying dividends. The website has developed over time as we have added useful tools to enhance the user’s experience, such as a robust search engine, a mapping program and complete 360 degree views of the apartments.
As the company grew, so did the website. OtherWisz and Ken Dev altered the site in response to research, website traffic statistics and feedback from their tenants. Custom applications have made it easier for clients to manage the website content, including up-to-date availability of over nine hundred units. Most recently, we simplified and improved the company’s business operations by building a custom designed, web-based application that allows Ken Dev agents to track the progress and the success of marketing strategies in correlation to apartment rentals and vacancies.
The Ken Dev website now accounts for approximately thirty percent of the company’s apartment rentals. That success can be attributed to maintaining high rankings in the major search engines, providing tools that improve the site’s ease of use, and regularly updating the information on the site. We continue to build on our relationship with Ken Dev through marketing services, graphic design solutions and developing new applications for their evolving needs.
National Traffic Service- Corporate Website, Product Website, Software Tool Interface, Brochures & various Marketing Material:
Brand Unity- Website development to improve customer interface and unite corporate brand

National Traffic Service recently came to us for a website redesign. The company, a leader in the freight audit and the freight bill payment business, uses the Internet as their primary marketing tool. After initially contacting OtherWisz to create a new website to market their TrafficPro software application, they requested that we also redesign their corporate website and improve accessibility through the interface to their software application. The company and their clients have applauded the re-branding of their web presence and the heightened utility of their main application.
The new, modern aesthetics that became the online face of NTS were recently used to re-brand their print collateral. This summer, OtherWisz completed a new brochure, advertisements, a pocket folder and sell sheets to complete the re-branding that began with and grew out of a request for a new website.
Vintage Canoeworks- Website:
Reach out and sell something- E-commerce Website development that breaks the ‘tactile barrier’ of online retail
www.vintagecanoeworks.com
Vintage Canoeworks was born out of a desire to preserve the history and magnificence of antique Adirondack canoes and guideboats, and their website showcases the meticulous handiwork of this Buffalo, N.Y. company as they refurbish turn-of-the-century watercraft for resale. Luxury items (with the exception of automobiles) are generally difficult to sell online, requiring a tactile experience to determine the quality of the merchandise and to complete the sale. This website bridges the gap between the onsite and online experiences, using lush photography and illustrative text to generate a realistic presence of each vessel on screen. The descriptive histories and personal commentary that are provided confirm the pedigree of each historic craft while lending credibility to the site. The website’s overall aesthetics visually recreate the craftsmanship and the authenticity of these beautiful watercraft.
Within weeks of the site’s launch, Vintage Canoeworks’ distinctive and appealing online presence grabbed the attention of canoe aficionados nationwide, resulting in sales to Abercrombie and Fitch and a company profile in The New York TImes. Currently, demand is so great that canoes are being sold even before the restoration is complete.
Garrett Leather / Humawaca:
It’s a complex solution that looks so simple- Web development to unite the brand.
www.garrettleather.com
www.garrettbags.com
www.skyrugs.com
Garret Leather came to OtherWisz looking to unite their online presence with their newly revised logo and catalogue. Re-branding the website’s aesthetics was easy enough. The company needed a simple, clean presentation of their luxury leathers targeted primarily to the hospitality and airline industries. This required little more than a graphically organized composition and luxurious photos to give focus to the merchandise. Maintaining that simplicity, however, was more complex. The Garrett Leather catalogue boasts over four hundred color swatches, and each swatch has to be searchable by product name, color or descriptive quality. Further complicating the matter were the requirements that online orders be accepted and that each swatch have its own downloadable spec sheet. Addressing all of these needs demanded a robust backend that wouldn’t discourage the user. Ultimately, easy site navigation and a clear, concise message were the keys to the success of this project.
Humawaca (Garrett Bags) is the incentive marketing website for Garrett Leather, and the company offers percentage incentives toward free handbags based upon the quantity of leather purchases. With an elegant presentation and detailed views of all sides and the interiors of the handbags, the site also serves as the sole distributor to the American market of these Argentinean leather handbags. The Humawaca (Garrett Bags) site, from conception to development to launch, was completed in less than two months.
